On the contrary, I think if a conspiracy theorist is going to make claims, they need to be substantiated.

I object to wild claims of convoluted conspiracies without any proof. I am especially repelled by conspiracy theorists who post a quote from a conspiracy theorist, or a youtube video of another conspiracy theorist prattling, as evidence of conspiracy theory.

The subtext of what they're saying publically is: 'we are going to destroy the evidence of our crimes....what are you going to do about it? Half of you aren't paying attention and the other half of you are too chicken shit to do anything but march in the street waving banners....so FUCK YOU'

It is no coincidence that the IRS was created in the same year as the federal reserve bank because it was the moment that the private central bankers took full control of the US government. By controlling the money supply AND the tax system they can control the economic health of the nation and of individuals. So how economically healthy are things now?

We had a scandal here in the UK where the MP's (ministers of parliament ie our politicians) were found to be cheating the expenses system and taking tons of public money. This came out in the mainstream papers so they had to admit it. Of course they said there would be an 'investigation' (which is a euphemism for 'cover up'...whenever you hear the government say they will launch an 'investigation' this means they are in damage limitation mode and are going to try and limit their exposure to the truth)

So they made this big announcement that the papers detailing all the fraud would be published publically in the newspapers and then they did......the only problem was that all the important information for example the names of the people involved were 'redacted' ie they had a big black line put through them so you couldn't read it!!

At the moment they are stopping the publishing of the communications that went between Tony Blair and George Bush in the run upto the second Iraq war which are supposed to be made public through the chilcot enquiry

You've just fallen into the same trap as some of the previous posters

You've made a generalisation that acts as a blanket dismissal

You should really assess each fact, each 'theory' and each theorist individually on their own merits otherwise you are not only doing them a disservice but you are also cheating yourself of the opportunity to approach the situation objectively and with a clear head and open mind which is going to act as an impediment in the search for truth

Here's the thing though...whilst people like you spend this time discussing your opinion on the matter the 'conspiracy theorists' are out there learning stuff

if you think a 'conspiracy theorist' is talking shit you shouldn't imo launch off on some rant about how all conspiracy theories are horse shit or that all conspiracy theorists are intellectually lacking and paranoid

What you should do imo is TEST their theory

probe it....ask them questions. Find out if they know what they are talking about or if they are talking shit.

This way you can find out if they know what they're talking about, what the foundations of their claim are or if there are any foundations, how intellectually sound they are and indeed ultimately you could even determine if they are in a paranoid state of mind or just aware of things that you aren't

However if you do this then for it to work you MUST give them a fair hearing.....you MUST look at the information they present to you otherwise you will never know if they have any grounds for their claims or not

If you don't come to the discussion with an open mind then you come with a closed mind...and that is not a fair hearing

Well, they have done a good job at covering up the facts concerning IRS targeting. Destroyed relevant information directly in front of the public and sit there and say, "What, WHAT?"
Its almost comical but if its truly that easy to get away with something, maybe it lends some credence to actually being able to cover something up.

No one has denied that the government covers stuff up. Someone mentioned earlier about how most conspiracy theories are rubbish, just some are real. A diamond in the rough if I may.
