This thread is depressing.

At the risk of sounding like a patronizing, discount Gary Vee -- is there nothing you (the royal you, not anyone here specifically) can do to improve your situation? Or maybe this is just a place to vent around a certain perspective / situation. In which case, fair enough.

But I just can't imagine living like this day after day; having this much defeatist resentment towards a situation and not at least trying to fix things.

Go out in the real world ie non middle/upper class job and you'll find it even worse than this thread. People just don't have options anymore unlike how it was decades ago.

Got one of those gen x class traitors that drank more of the fox news corporate cool aid than any of the boomers at my workplace. Amazing how sheltered she had been for the last two decades at a high paying government job only to get let go only to end up at the hole I've been working at for the past three years and we've all warned her what she has gotten into but nope toxic positivity beyond reason. She has been told off already by a 70 year old that her toxic positivity isn't go far there and she'll eventually burn out after a year or so. Cherry on top she told me to pull myself up by the bootstraps even though I had to work two positions there while working a department by myself at one point against the rules that was set by corporate.

Oh well she can pull herself up by the bootstraps the moment she comes across product heavier than herself as none of the guys here is going to want to help her with anything regardless.
