I understand what you mean and I will listen to them next time I find them. They like to hide out of sight. And some times they hide right on the ground so they blend in so well. The other day I was eating some cashews and a ground squirrel was watching me. At first he kept his distance then I talked to him and he came closer. I gave him a nut and he walked away and ate it. Then I looked over my shoulder and another one appeared so I gave him a cashew also. Then I looked over to my left and another one showed up. I gave them all some more cashews and we all sat there together looking off into the distance. It was a very interesting and peaceful moment. I knew that they did not fear me and they hung around for a half hour just sitting next to me.

Perhaps spend some time with yr spiders. I have sat quietly with creatures and just visited with them in my mind, I hope that doesnt sound too weird. I was walking down the street one time with a friend, and this dog who was tied to a bike rack looking sad and alone was looking at me as we walked by. I stopped and looked at it for a bit, it got up and walked over to me a bit timid like and I petted it. It looked right into my eyes as if it was trying to tell me something, I just listened to him in my mind and I heard a word... his name. Soon the owner walked out and called the dog the name that it told me, and it left with the guy. I hope that doesnt sound too strange but I do believe that energy and life has a connection that we don't pay any attention to anymore in our ways of living now. Perhaps the spiders will tell u what they go by, perhaps ask them if they like certain words or names... I guess you'll figure it out!

Thanks for the compliment! It's one of those hobbies that I really wanted to do so now I am focusing on taking pictures of what I see around me. Some days it's hard to get new interesting photos. Then I decided to take photos of the spiders and a new series of shots were born lol

That is sad. Although that is their life to bring more life. I have not given them names maybe I should. The question is what do you name a spider? I guess there is no wrong way to do it. I am not sure of the life span of these particular spiders. I think they eat a lot too. I have fed them huge grasshoppers and they do eat them. It's the wasps that I have to keep away from them. They killed the last big one that I used to feed.

thats cool, I have one in my kitchen actually, I like a spider in my house because it does cut down on the ammount of bugs indoors. Have u got names for them? I used to have a friend who has moved back to Slovakia now, but when he lived here, he had a pet spider called "Francis" Francis lived my friend's appartment building for 2 yrs and then had babies prompty died. I(t was a sad day when my friend called me and said that he was worried about Francis because he wasnt eating or moving much anymore and that there was a weird ball thing beside him)... that's when I had to break it to my friend that Francis was a girl spider and that the weird thing was her babies and that they would all eat here as soon as they got big enough to break away from their group.

I have three so far around my place. All of them are a little different. And every day they set up a new web and try and trap food. If I find their web I will throw them a meal just to watch. For some reason I have grown attached to them they are fascinating to watch move. And they move so fast when the web moves.

he is a very sweet spider. Im glad u fed him a lovely grasshopper for a snack! Now that yr feeding it, u know he might not go home again and try and come in the house... sigh, u might have a pet spider on yr hands now efromm... lol

I just put some of the photos in my photo album. I fed the spider the green grasshopper. I thought they would make a nice photo together.

I am just browsing through this site and hoping to chat a bit. I looked at yr photo album but there was just one pic, will u b posting the spider photos u took today? I love spiders, when I was a little girl I used to let them all crawl over my hands... yea I know, I was a strange child, lol

She has some really nice photos! It's always nice to see what others are doing on their own. Just like in music in photography there is a lot of people doing their own thing not looking for recognition, they are following what there heart desires. Art in the end is inspired and she has an eye for composition which you cannot buy or teach it is learned. And ya know I really need to put more pictures on my site. It has been awhile since I put any of the hundreds of pictures I have taken over the last couple of months. You just gave me a nudge! lol Thanks! And I still have a bunch of pictures from DC to blog and I just can't get myself to do it. I am trying to forget that trip lol
