Ayn rand as INFJ? I thought she was a definite INTx? (not that I've really looked much at her). Where is this INFJ typing coming from?

I don't think Je needs to derive from Ji at all, and it's my understanding that they can't really directly interact at all. I also find it strange to identify the "core" of someone with their tertiary function. I generally identify the tertiary as a tool, or backup (inferior too, though there will be an attempt to use it as little as possible) - something used to fill the holes when the top two functions can't do the job, whereas the core of a person is their dom+aux.

Te is certainly a logic-based function (err, depending on what is meant by logic I guess) - it's just externalised logic, rather than internalised. If it doesn't tend towards absolutes, then this is probably because the environment is rarely absolute - but when a near absolute does apply to environmental processes, then Te will adapt to it.

Empirical evidence is fallacious by nature! You can attach ANY reason/argument to examples! I would know! One can interpret anything anyway they want. Zamagawd

I just retook it and got INXP. So I guess it's the same as all the other tests result-wise.

Someone really needs to make one that's actually accurate.

I don't think INTJs (necessarily) would understand personalised systems through Fi - I think it could be done through Te, but of course there will be a different focus. In this case (which I could easily be wrong about, having only glanced at it) the reasoning behind the system challenge, as well as the direct manner in which it was carried out, is quite compatible with Te.

Also, it seemed to be an attempt to, or at least can be interpreted as an attempt to, make the personal system less personal - to make the external world operate more on logic, less on values - but enforcing one's own values in the process. I've seen it remarked that INTJs tend to highly value anonymity, plus there was another thread made which was basically getting people to become more goal focused, which would also suggest Te (but of course, not necessarily so).

I visit an INTJ dominated forum, where there are frequent reminders to not let personal factors creep in to conversation, so that the group conversations can carry on as efficiently as possible - basically, to not change your message out of social courtesy, but at the same time to only say something if it's useful to others.

Only when I am extremely agitated, like today. But you know, usually I don't get angry for these reasons! I mean, I really usually don't care if people are pretentious and all that fail. I don't! It's like I'm using socially unaccepted behaviour as a scapegoat for my frustrations. That's so missing the point and merely mirrors my powerlessness!
