Just getting back to your question. I think you see limited styles in the furry fandom not becasue of lack of skill but the style of art. Focousing on a person or furry is a very speicifc portail. For example you don't see people call abstract art furry ect. But yes there are few common styles. Such as Realism , fantasy, toony and animeish. I know that the rise of anime style art has risen the last 4 or 5 years. and sadly its brought down the quality of art in general. But its not the only style. In general most furry artists are either a realistic or fantasy artists. Meaning either they took inspiration from nature or from cartoons / fantasy settings. The medium doesn't really matter but there two main styles artists I've seen, the first is traditional mediums (acrylic , colored pencil, markers, ect) or digtial mediums (Photoshop, SAI, ect). But there is a lot of overlap in medium and style within the artist community.
