I've heard back from that initial interview and although I've been very seriously considered they had reservations because I live to far away, at least that's what they have said. The overall impression and something that they didn't express clearly is something that I have heard on another place since is that they have expected a blank canvass so to speak, that I shouldn't have done that much of practical work so far, they didn't expect that because I'm coming straight from the Uni. So now I've decided to play dumb and blank. This didn't occur to me to be a problem previously, but now I do get how that might make me a bad candidate. Valuable lesson for, anyhow.
As for the clip, you actually managed to find a Violin concert that usually makes me cry.
I like his interpretation, because unlike some of the others, his is a bit more intense and has a bit more sinister sound to it. I'm not in any way educated when it comes to classical music so this is only my opinion in layman's terms, since I can't judge his technique because I really know nothing about the ways of playing violin. What do you think of it?
