Best and worst subjects in school?

Bad,

Math ( Teacher was on constant power trips )
English ( flat out wasn't interested, had to give talk after talk in front of the class )
Modern studies ( still have no idea what this subject is about )
Drama ( Whatever )
Wood work ( Teacher was an abusive and erratic alcoholic )
Home Economics ( fancy name for cooking, run by a maniac. )
Science

History,
Classics,
Music
RE,
PE,
IT.

Art was a blast, History was actual History with field trips n stuff.. Classics was amazing,We'd read a little bit from a text book about the subject of the day, then our teacher would ask the class to sit back , close our eyes and go into a state of ( i suppose ) hypnosis ? and he'd describe walking through ancient Greece / Rome and tell us little stories about what life was like. He was from the Islands off the shore of Scotland and had a soft soothing accent.

Music was a riot. RE should have been tedious but our teacher was funny and open. PE was excellent for de-stressing and IT was tricky at the time as my family couldn't afford a computer at the time so I was always behind. BUT, it opened the door to everything I can do now. And was always a peaceful and quiet class.
 
Grades K-8: Straight As in everything and classified as Gifted (though at most schools it just meant extra work so I usually opted not to participate)

HS: Graduated with a 3.8 ... the only classes that I got Bs in were a few English ones (grammar killed me), and my AP US History class @_@. My favorite classes in HS were my AP World History, AP Spanish, AP 3D Art, and Statistics/Trigonometry and Band was super fun (I played the Trumpet, no surprise that I would chose a loud brassy show off of an instrument lol)

University: Much to my secret shame, I failed Honors Chem...twice (had a perfect score in all the practical labs, but we were not allowed to use any notes and I am incapable of memorizing numbers so while I could remember formulas and elements I was unable to memorize the various numbers associated with all the elements and thus failed). I was the only student ever to get a perfect score in my professor's Egyptology class and I loved all of the courses I had to take to get my CSI certification (excavating pig remains in FL was quite the experience as was the class on Serial/Mass murderers).
 
best are probably math and physics

mostly i hate all subjects since they arent really teaching concepts but just showing how to attempt an examination paper,it gets pretty boring but physics and math can show you some fun and interesting things i dislike all subjects besides these

I've been good at English and Art. My university transcripts have been uneven. My postgrad transcript is much more even, because there are no fail grades on it, but my grades are still anything from pass to high distinction. I'm not a good student and I cry a great deal while I'm studying. Now that I've finished postgrad I don't intend to study again, I hate school.
 
Elementary: I excelled in art classes, if that counts as a subject. Otherwise, I was a terrible student and mostly daydreamed or flunked math classes.

High School: I still enjoyed art, but suddenly discovered that I not only knew how to read, but enjoyed the tedium of it. Math still plagued me. Literature, mythology, creative writing, and history classes were easy and fun.

University: Chemistry and microbiology, I decided, were a rare form of torture reserved for the weak minded. Absolutely adored anthropology and political theory courses and was able to pass anything that required a combination of reading comprehension, typing papers, or exams in blue book format.

Are you a Se dom, seeing as you picked PE and art (both physical activities) over English? ;)

I wasn't performing very well in school, I didn't like most subjects and I would often fake being sick, so I could stay home and watch a movie or something. *^~^* My best subject was probably art, but those classes were also the most tiresome... everyone would just run around like stupid, and throw pencils at each other over my head... those were dark times. But I quite enjoyed lunch, especially the lasagna!
 
I was good at artistic things in high school. Sewing class, drawing, painting, sculpting, craft-related things. Psych and soc were very easy too. Reading and spelling was easy. I was ok at band but practicing is not my forte, which leads me to math and sciences. I could pick up certain concepts very quickly but if it was something I had to study for then no way. I did get up to Trig and stats though so.
 
Best subject : English grammar, for better or worse (*stares at current grammar* *bitter laughs*), Mandarin

Good subject : Sociology, Religion, Accounting (...ish? Not that much but..?)

Decent subject : Math, Indonesian Language, Economics, History, Biology, Geometry,

Bad subject : Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Art (it was vocals / choir, back then, and I'm not that good at emotional expression back then), Civics

HAHAHAHAHHAHAA FUCK subject : PE

Se dom? I don't think so, but PE was an adrenalin rush and art was just fun, English class I found to be very tedious. also english is not my first language so I struggled sometimes

Haha I remember people doing that in art class too, but it was also the most memorable for the same reasons :P

Thinking back over the years, I really think it had more to do with the teachers. An unjust, to me, teacher was mostly ignored, as was a rude teacher. If the teacher was smart, strict or not, and was able to lower themselves a bit to enable me to learn what they must have learned many years ago: I paid attention. The teachers I liked the best were where I did the best. I just floated through with average or a little better for those I did not like. I remain thankful for those I liked.
 
When I was in Swedish High School in the 90's, each subject had four grades. Each grade had a number associated with it, with which you compute a weighted average ranging 0-20. You needed back then about 20.0 to study law, psychology, medicine or architecture. My average was 17.5.

I would rank my interest (and aptitude) for subjects as follows:

Best subjects:
maths (except geometry)
history (remember everything thanks to tertiary Si)
Swedish (grammar is sooo easy)
English (such an illogical grammar and the variety of synonyms makes your head spin)
German (stiff but logical)

Fun subjects:
chemistry (fell asleep sometimes during labs)
physics (connecting wires is fun)
biology (dissected a rodent once, so much fuuun)
French (awkward grammar, but memorable)

Medium subjects:
social sciences
geography (why is Greenland called that?)

Boring subjects:
music (completely tone deaf)
art (I draw like a monkey)
 
Best:

Worst:
1. Social Science
2. English
3. Religious Studies
4. Woodworks, Metalworks.
 
My best subjects were:
1. English
2. Band
3. Government & Econ
4. History

My worst subjects were:
1. Algebra/pre-calculus (the only class I did not receive an A in was honors algebra 2/precalculus; I would have been valedictorian otherwise)
2. Physics
3. Spanish

Other subjects like biology, chemistry, and geometry were neutral.

Clever girl. If you are "gifted", then you let other people define who you are. You will never feel free under such circumstances. It is great for your ego, but not for your soul. :mpoke:
 
I was always best student in art classes
I was very good in technical drawing too
Also very good in foreign languges at least in comparison to my classmates
I was good in maths tho they bored me so much
I sucked very much in physics, somehow I couldn't understand a shit
Economy was extremely boring and I think I was very average
I was very good in history because it was interesting to me but I when it came to exams I wouldn't show up or study or forget we had exams. Somehow I managed to get by with fairly high marks. I think that's gone knowledge tho.

My problem with education is that I was going through hard shit when I was in school. I was an inmigrant in a small town where everyone treated me as a weirdo. Had no friends. My family was going through deep shit and I felt like playing my guitar all the time and had no motivation for anything else, not even for stuff I now think I seemed to be good at. Had this lack of motivation hat was from 13 to 22 yo or so. Not cool.

Haha I remember now that I sucked in music class. But then one day teacher told us to bring an instrument If we had one. I brought my guitar and she was blown away. Not because I was van Halen but because I seemed to be totally uninterested and incapable of showing emotions in any form of art.
