[MENTION=5045]Skarekrow[/MENTION]

Not to mention she was constantly up in my shit worried that I would do demonic and satanic things and would try to regulate my activities to a near pathological level. If I read anything, it had to be Christian. If I played any game, it had to be Christian (she made me play this stupid bible card game that was like the Christian version of Pokemon, which sucked ass) If I listened to music, it had to be Christian. That damn TV show had her so worked up about evil satan worship that it made my life a hell on earth. Forget having friends. EVEN THE CHURCH KIDS WERE COOLER THAN ME.

Okay….then you should probably be put to death to if we are following the rules in the Old Testament.
I can find a list of death punishable offenses and I’m sure you’ve committed one or another.
I sure hope you have never eaten any shrimp :-(

Well…what’s stopping you then? Go chop some heads off.
You’ve been commanded to by your loving God.
Do you have an axe? A machete takes a few swings…but maybe you want them to suffer too?

The Old Testament says a lot of very fucked up things man…that’s why the new one was called the “New” testament….it was supposed to be the new set of rules set down by Jesus for everyone to follow….no more an eye for an eye.
You aren’t even knowledgable of your own religious followings.
You should stop now before you really dig your own.

LOL I think I've done most of those and probably enjoyed it too.

I know right…me too.
It’s more like a bucket list hahaha

I understand these verses on the lines of "the wages of sin is death" which is spiritual death, indeed homosexuality brings spiritual death to the gay person.

Oh…I don’t remember that clarification…at least it didn’t pertain to the church during the Inquisition or the Witch Trials, or the Crusades…so why should the meaning change now?

BTW, I know some spiritually pure and beautiful people who just happen to be gay too.
Pull the plank from your fucking eye dude.

People are STILL being stoned to death and burnt for crimes in the more backward pockets of civilization. They still burn witches in New Guinea for example. And we all know about the places that stone people to death.

Well just look at the recent examples too of the American “missionaries” that travelled to Uganda -
American evangelicals such as Scott Lively and California pastor Rick Warren have a history of involvement in Uganda where they focus their missionary work. As a result, Warren and others have become influential in the shaping of public policy in Uganda, Nigeria and, to a lesser extent, Kenya.[SUP][22][/SUP] Stephen Langa, the March 2009 workshop organiser, specifically cited the unlicensed conversion therapist Richard A. Cohen, who states in Coming Out Straight, a book that was given to Langa and other prominent Ugandans,
Homosexuals are at least 12 times more likely to molest children than heterosexuals; homosexual teachers are at least 7 times more likely to molest a pupil; homosexual teachers are estimated to have committed at least 25 percent of pupil molestation; 40 percent of molestation assaults were made by those who engage in homosexuality.
These statements were based on faulty studies performed by Paul Cameron, who has been expelled from the American Psychological Association, the Canadian Psychological Association, and the American Sociological Association, and Cohen confirmed their weaknesses, stating that when the book will be reprinted, these statistics will be removed.[SUP][55][/SUP][SUP][56][/SUP][SUP][57]

And now…the legislation nicknamed the “kill the gays” bill has passed…and that has been the result…deaths.

How wonderful that these two gentleman spread the good word to Africa…no needless suffering was directly caused by their incompetent and clearly loving actions.

It starts a cycle. The absence of a father or mother figures while having parents who have negative views against the opposite gender will definitely have an impact on their children, that's not to mention the high probability of child abuse and molestation.

This says more about you than anything resembling truth. There is no strong correlation for parental absence (plenty of children with deceased or absentee parents grow up straight as well as there being plenty of conservative, religious families producing homosexual offspring) nor is there strong correlation for sexual abuse as it occurs at roughly the same rate as it does for homosexuals as it does for heterosexuals.

All this says to me is that which you perceive to be true, which likely means that you were sexually abused by someone in your family which you believe led to your sexual confusion and you latch on to your religious beliefs as a method of retroactively preventing the sexual abuse from occurring and repressing your own homosexual tendencies.

You mean opinions actually aren't harmless? You mean to imply that what people say matters because others could take it the wrong way, and people might actually be hurt or even killed?

Gee wiz Skarekrow, I never knew that!

Edit:
And that sarcasm isn't directed at you I hope you know. It's directed at those who chide for "taking this too seriously."

You honestly don't get it?

It comes across about as well as the photo you opened this thread with that you haven't quite gotten around to explaining yet.

And yet, most people stand there with their mouths shut, too chickenshit to stand up for basic human dignity.
* le sigh *

Well I understand your anger, but that's never what I implied or meant to imply.

It's because a group is not a living entity, but composed of individuals who may or may not voluntarily associate with the group based on shared ideals that force has to be legitimated. Enough people have to coordinate to force compliance mainly through ideology, but by force if necessary.

So we are all engaged through our ideologies who has what rights and who lives, suffers, and/or dies.

Yeah, that's why ideology comes into play. It was a physically violent disagreement over legitimacy. What legitimacy consists of is a matter of ideology. It makes might makes right right, but couched in different ways.

My point to you was that this is a fact of life and "taking it too seriously" and getting carried away won't do anything because in this instance he may be rude and insulting on the forum, but he cannot harm anyone. He's not harming anyone, but angering and pissing people off. You're mistaking physical harm for hurt feelings.

I didn't particularly have you in mind anyway.

Well those were my words, but like I said I understand your anger. I was just trying to help bring you some calm. I hope you understand.
