Yet corporate lawyers are not worried about intent or overcriminalization when they try to make ISPs liable for the content that goes through them.
They don't care about intent or overciminalization when they have spybots running amok on the internet issuing automated takedown notices based on a mathematical data analysis with complete disregard to fair use laws, bullying people and putting innocents in the lurch, not to mention aggressive abuse of takedown notices to silence negative feedback.
They don't care about intent or overciminalization when it comes to the outright news war which paints corporations as indomitable and supported by the government, as a means of frighting people into submission and accepting gross and arbitrary censorship.
I couldn’t agree with you more…it’s like that whole TPP (Trans-pacific partnership) that would have effectively superseded any laws passed by any country in the agreement that infringed on profits margins.
Such as showing the harmful effects of smoking on packs of cigarettes.
Phillip Morris sued India…yes, the whole country because showing diseased lungs on the packs of cigs. would have cost consumers.
It’s not the first of it’s kind nor will it be the last and there are already many laws set up to screw the little guy while protecting the large corporations.
I mean, already we are “on the hook” for another Wall Street collapse…I mean, the fucking nerve.
I actually would like to see them try and bail them out again…then the shit will hit the fan IMO.
