I'd be careful of doctrines or prescriptions which are not progressive and don't leave room for interpretation or compromise.

Sounds like modern medicine!

I think so too...it is already shifting into that mindset, albeit slowly...part of the breakdown of the male and female roles has already begun in our society....take stay-at-home Dads for example. Or the fact that homosexuality is gaining acceptance across the world....I mean, even the Pope has made the comment of ‘who is he to judge?’.
But the idea of balancing the male and female energies within ourselves is a different thought process...I don’t think people view themselves in this manner unless inspired to by something external....most people still view themselves as the sum of their physical parts.
I think it will still be a while before that barrier is broken...we still have too many ‘manly men’ who are complete out of touch with their feminine side...and to ask them or suggest they get in touch with it is almost an attack on who they are. The same can go for women...and almost, I feel, women have over-shot the mark in many regards....the women’s lib movement has been beneficial in many ways....we have seen more and more female CEO’s for example...or just women taking positions in the workforce that they didn’t or couldn’t have before...but at what cost? This has almost eliminated maternity leave...it has really taken what once was possible...like a single-income family, and made it a necessity to have a two income family in order to be successful by western standards. Instead, there should have been a balance struck - the ability to hold any and all positions available to them....for the same pay (which I think is STILL a resentful blowback from the movement even to this day)....they should be able to give birth and have a minimum of 6 months to a year in my opinion...sadly this is looked upon as not being committed to one’s job if a woman gets pregnant. This should be built into the system. Even now, when I woman comes to a position of power she gets critiqued far more, and publicly, than her male counterparts....vomitus words like ‘lesbian’, ‘ice queen’, and the sort get thrown around...especially by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and the conservative right.
Of course, a huge blockage in the way to attaining true equality is the conservative right, namely the evangelical christians, who justify their treatment of women as something ‘less’ than they are through biblical verses and antiquated ideology.
I hope that once we move past those thoughts and beliefs in our society that we can truly embrace the male and the female aspects of us all, not just based on our sex, and maybe, just maybe we can take the next evolutionary step...at least in our thinking.

There is so much to cover relating to this issue...i don't know if i have the energy at this moment to write a comprehensive answer

I want to be clear that i believe in women having an equal say in society and i also believe in peoples right to love who they want so i have no issues with homosexuality

However there is more to this whole situation than at first meets the eye. i really would like to go over it in depth so that people can see my reasoning and won't missunderstand me but i can't right now

So in brief i want to say that womens lib has not brought men or women to the promised land because people have aspired to the wrong thing...imo

I also think that we are being subjected to certain pressures which are having an effect on gender and sexual preference

For example men are being exposed to more oestrogen whether it is in the water supply (from the contraceptive pill) or from chemicals in plastics but the result of this is a drop in male fertility and probably in masculinity as well hence the rise in 'metrosexuality'. There are many other chemicals that have been thrown into our lives which are impacting men and women in a variety of ways...this stuff is intended to impact on the body

There are also cultural pressures which are designed to impact on the mind

The aim in all this is population reduction alongside a change in how society is ordered

I also think the pope is part of this conspiracy hence the softening of the churches stance on these things. the church knows that men are going to become more feminised and if they are to maintain a pre-eminant role in cultural brainwashing they will have to move with the times

The CIA's involvment in the 1960's 'sexual revolution' is widely known and this was all part of the shift that the controllers of society (or what huxley in his book 'a brave new world' called: ''the world controllers'')

I want to stress that i believe that people should be able to do what they want as long as they are not hurting anyone else and also in equal rights for women and gay people....i just know that there is more to all of this.....and i would recommend women and gay people to look into all this as well so that they exercise caution before throwing their support behind certain movements which might on the surface seem legitimate because many organisations have a long term plan and agenda that is not actually related to the cause they claim to be fighting for

An interesting book on this matter is Dr Kerry Bolton's: ''Revolution from above''

Revolution from above

The following synopsis was taken off amazons website:

In Revolution from Above, Dr. Bolton demonstrates that the supposed rivalry between Marxist-inspired movements and capitalism has always been an illusion. Marxism, Communism and liberalism have been and continue to be exploited by the forces of international capitalism to further their global agenda, despite their surface disagreements. Dr. Bolton shows that the ultimate goal of capitalism is to create a worldwide collectivist society of consumers, and Marxism is merely one means of attaining this. He traces this idea back to Plato, through the Illuminati, the Freemasons, the French Revolution, and Communism, and examines the evidence for the existence of a shadowy network of bankers who control a large portion of the world's political and economic power. He then discusses the various instruments this network uses to maintain control, such as tax-exempt foundations and think tanks.

Dr. Bolton also reveals how capitalist governments actually worked closely with Communist regimes and, in fact, frustrated genuinely anti-Communist efforts during the Cold War. He discusses the impact this has had on Western society, resulting in such trends as the sexual revolution and the promotion of drug use. Dr. Bolton then brings us up-to-date by discussing the role of the recent "Arab spring" in these ongoing developments. One will never be able to view modern history the same way again after reading Dr. Bolton's arguments and examining the supporting evidence. K. R. Bolton holds doctorates in Historical Theology and Theology; Ph.D. (Hist. Th.), Th.D. as well as in other areas. He is a contributing writer for The Foreign Policy Journal, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social and Political Research in Greece. His papers and articles have been published by both scholarly and popular media, including the International Journal of Social Economics; Journal of Social, Political, and Economic Studies; Geopolitika; World Affairs; India Quarterly; and The Initiate: Journal of Traditional Studies. His work has been translated into Russian, Vietnamese, Italian, Czech, Latvian, Farsi and French.

What do you think about this??

New Theory States That We Come from Another Planet and Earth Is Our Prison

It may look like a script from an episode of «X-Files», but it is definitely a subversive and highly imaginative theory developed by an American scientist. As the theory supports, human was not born on Earth, but on another planet, that is why he demonstrates a series of “dysfunctions”, which would not exist if he was the “product” of Earth. The theory states that we are by nature unruly and aggressive beings and that is why highly developed aliens brought the human population together and exiled them to Earth…
This extremely… advanced, but definitely interesting theory was developed by Professor of ecology Ellis Silver. The “signs” of extraterrestrial origin are quite in accordance with it. As professor says, human has problems with his back and often suffers from pain because our species descended from a planet with less gravity than on Earth. According to Silver, we also face problems when we are exposed to direct sunlight for a relatively short time because we were not designed to come in so close contact with the sun.
An additional argument offered by the Professor concerns parturition difficulties and especially those resulting from the fact that the size of the head of a newborn child is disproportionately large. We are the only species on the planet with such high rates of complications and mortality during pregnancy and childbirth, emphasizes the scientist, also noting the fact that human is not equipped to deal with the natural environment, for example, cold or heat.
The theory also considers the paradox that human shows strong dislike for many types of foods that nature provides. Silver says that human is sick very often because, among other things, our biological clock is tailored for a day of 25 hours, which was confirmed by certain studies.
Silver believes that anatomically modern human is a hybrid resulting from the crossing of the Neanderthals with another kind of humans who came to Earth from 60,000 to 200,000 years ago from a planet in Alpha Centauri, the closest star system to us.
The explanation the scientist gives for our arrival on Earth is that the aliens we lived with could not stand our indiscipline and aggression and sent us here as a punishment, i.e. we were ‘imprisoned’ here to become… humans, and when it happens (who knows?) maybe we will be able to return to our real homeland…

American scientists have developed a robotic muscle 1,000 times more powerful than a human’s – using a revolutionary material that fluidly changes its properties.
The invention gives vanadium dioxide amazing, superhero-style powers. Its most striking property is to change shape and structure whenever differing amounts of heat are applied to it.
This made it perfectly suited for creating a torsional motor muscle, as researchers at the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have found, the Lab’s website reported.
Added to this is the material’s capacity for changing size and other physical characteristics. And when made into a robotic muscle, its estimated strength equals to hurling objects 50 times its weight and five times its length at speeds as fast as 60 milliseconds.
Team leader on the study, Junqiao Wu, said in Berkeley Lab’s statement that they have “created a micro-bimorph dual coil that functions as a powerful torsional muscle, driven thermally or electro-thermally by the phase transition of vanadium dioxide.”
Wu, who is a member of both Berkeley Lab and the Berkeley University’s Materials Science and Engineering department, co-authored the research submitted to the journal Advanced Materials, entitled“Powerful, Multifunctional Torsional Micro Muscles Activated by Phase Transition.”

Vanadium dioxide is not a new material to the electronics industry, already receiving praise for its ability to be both an insulator (at low temperatures) and a conductor (whenever the temperature is raised to above 67 degrees) undergoing what scientists call a temperature-driven phase transition. They say that more energy-efficient optical and electronic devices are definitely in the cards.
And that is not all. For when heated, vanadium dioxide’s crystals begin to rapidly contract along one dimension, while expanding along the other two, showing that a structural phase transition effected by temperature changes is also taking place. This physical property means that in future, using the material for anything from artificial muscles to robotic technologies and complex machinery is practically a given.
As Wu explains, “miniaturizing rotary motors is important for integrated micro-systems and has been intensively pursued over the past decades… the power density of our micro-muscle in combination with its multi-functionality distinguishes it from all current macro- or micro-torsional actuators/motors.”

This opens doors for scientific progress being made almost exponentially, as a series of micro-muscles could be used to build a more complex organism – perhaps even simulate an active neuromuscular system, due to the material’s miraculous property of “proximity sensing and torsional motion [which] allow the device to remotely detect a target and respond by reconfiguring itself to a different shape,” Wu says.“This simulates living bodies where neurons sense and deliver stimuli to the muscles and the muscles provide motion.”
However researchers say it is a little too early to start fearing a Terminator-style rise of the machines, as the mechanism in question is currently the size of a microchip.

Acoustic Levitation

Scientists at Argonne National Laboratory have discovered a way to use sound waves to levitate individual droplets of solutions containing different pharmaceuticals. While the connection between levitation and drug development may not be immediately apparent, a special relationship emerges at the molecular level.

Fascinating!!!

"It’s not a magic trick and it’s not sleight of hand – scientists really are using levitation to improve the drug development process, eventually yielding more effective pharmaceuticals with fewer side effects.
Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory have discovered a way to use sound waves to levitate individual droplets of solutions containing different pharmaceuticals. While the connection between levitation and drug development may not be immediately apparent, a special relationship emerges at the molecular level.
At the molecular level, pharmaceutical structures fall into one of two categories: amorphous or crystalline. Amorphous drugs typically are more efficiently taken up by the body than their crystalline cousins; this is because amorphous drugs are both more highly soluble and have a higher bioavailability, suggesting that a lower dose can produce the desired effect.
“One of the biggest challenges when it comes to drug development is in reducing the amount of the drug needed to attain the therapeutic benefit, whatever it is,” said Argonne X-ray physicist Chris Benmore, who led the study.
“Most drugs on the market are crystalline – they don’t get fully absorbed by the body and thus we aren’t getting the most efficient use out of them,” added Yash Vaishnav, Argonne Senior Manager for Intellectual Property Development and Commercialization.
Getting pharmaceuticals from solution into an amorphous state, however, is no easy task. If the solution evaporates while it is in contact with part of a vessel, it is far more likely to solidify in its crystalline form. “It’s almost as if these substances want to find a way to become crystalline,” Benmore said.
In order to avoid this problem, Benmore needed to find a way to evaporate a solution without it touching anything. Because liquids conform to the shape of their containers, this was a nearly impossible requirement -- so difficult, in fact, that Benmore had to turn to an acoustic levitator, a piece of equipment originally developed for NASA to simulate microgravity conditions.
Levitation or “containerless processing” can form pristine samples that can be probed in situ with the high-energy X-ray beam at Argonne’s Advanced Photon Source. “This allows amorphization of the drug to be studied while it is being processed,” said Rick Weber, who works on the project team at the synchrotron.
The acoustic levitator uses two small speakers to generate sound waves at frequencies slightly above the audible range – roughly 22 kilohertz. When the top and bottom speakers are precisely aligned, they create two sets of sound waves that perfectly interfere with each other, setting up a phenomenon known as a standing wave.
At certain points along a standing wave, known as nodes, there is no net transfer of energy at all. Because the acoustic pressure from the sound waves is sufficient to cancel the effect of gravity, light objects are able to levitate when placed at the nodes.
Although only small quantities of a drug can currently be “amorphized” using this technique, it remains a powerful analytical tool for understanding the conditions that make for the best amorphous preparation, Vaishnav explained.
Argonne researchers have already investigated more than a dozen different pharmaceuticals, and the laboratory’s Technology Development & Commercialization Division is currently pursuing a patent for the method. Technology Development & Commercialization is also interested in partnering with the pharmaceutical industry to develop the technology further as well as to license it for commercial development.
After adapting the technology for drug research, the Argonne scientists teamed up with Professors Stephen Byrn and Lynne Taylor at the Department of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University and Jeffery Yarger of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Arizona State University. The group is now working on identifying which drugs the levitation instrumentation will impact most strongly.
Argonne National Laboratory seeks solutions to pressing national problems in science and technology. The nation's first national laboratory, Argonne conducts leading-edge basic and applied scientific research in virtually every scientific discipline. Argonne researchers work closely with researchers from hundreds of companies, universities, and federal, state and municipal agencies to help them solve their specific problems, advance America's scientific leadership and prepare the nation for a better future. With employees from more than 60 nations, Argonne is managed by UChicago Argonne, LLC for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science."

WIKIMEDIA, WALTER HOLBROOK GASKELLResearchers have shot out and arranged two types of neurons from the retina of rats using an inkjet printer. The demonstration marks another advance in the march toward custom-made tissues. “Although our results are preliminary and much more work is still required, the aim is to develop this technology for use in retinal repair in the future,” co-authors Keith Martin and Barbara Lorber from the University of Cambridge said in a press release.
Printing the cells allows tight control over the arrangement of the neurons, an important step in developing a tissue graft. The research team showed that after printing, the cells remained in good shape. For instance, printed retinal ganglion cells and glia were just as likely to survive as non-printed cells, the authors reported in Biofabrication this month (December 17).
Jim Bainbridge of London’s Moorfields Eye Hospital told the BBC: “The finding that eye cells can survive the printing process suggests the exciting possibility that this technique could be used in the future to create organised tissues for regeneration of the eye and restoration of sight.”
The authors said they’d like to explore the possibility of printing photoreceptors and other types of cells. “In addition, we would like to further develop our printing process to be suitable for commercial, multi-nozzle print heads,” said Martin.

A nicely put together video @Shaqie!

I have been aware of these types of effects on people for a while...more specifically, being in the medical field....not so much now that I’m in surgery, but when I worked in the Emergency Room and before that when I worked on the Ambulance, I would see people in serious distress, who had mentally done this to themselves. Take hyperventilating for example...I would pick up someone who was hyperventilating and their complaints were that they couldn’t breathe, they had numbness in their hands and lips, couldn’t speak properly...well some paramedics would just dismiss this as that person being a drama queen or king, that there was nothing going on that this person should be fearful of. Well, come to find out, if you hyperventilate, your hands DO go numb and go into carpal-spasms where it is difficult to open your hands and fingers...your lips go numb as well, making it hard to talk....I know, I wanted to see what it felt like, I purposefully hyperventilated myself once just to see...it was uncomfortable and if I was unaware of what was going on, I can see why someone could be deathly afraid, which would perpetuate the whole thing even more.
Most people are unaware they are hyperventilating...they don't realize they are even doing it until they have physical symptoms...something in their brain triggers them to breathe too fast....severe anxiety, stress, etc.
This is why they have someone breathe in a paper bag when they hyperventilate...they can still breathe just as fast as they want, but they get less oxygen, which in turn helps them return to a normal oxygenated level.
In fact, here’s another Nocebo for you - if I couldn’t calm the person down and get them breathing slower, then sometimes I would put the oxygen mask on them if they were really insistent that they couldn’t breathe, and I would just turn it onto “Air” instead of O2....they would think they were getting oxygen and start to slow their breathing, which eventually lowered the severity of the symptoms from being hyper-oxygenated.
So here is a question for you...
If the Doctor treats someone with a placebo drug, and it helps them....it alleviates most of their symptoms...is it unethical to continue to lie to their patient because they are helping them...or to tell them the truth and have them return to pain?
Did you know that people who have strong religious convictions generally do better when recovering from major surgery, accident, or illness?
Isn’t that interesting...you could call that a Nocebo too....or is there something more to it?
Can our power in belief go beyond all of that? I do believe that there is something to be said for the power of Intention.
If you intend to recover from your surgery well and be right back on your feet then I think you have a much better chance of that intention than the person who goes in afraid thinking that they are going to have major complications, severe pain, a long recovery, etc.
So yes, it is in our mind...but at what level can we control it? There are people who can focus their mind and slow down their heart rate to a very slow pace!
Also at what level is our mind being controlled by outside influence...it’s advertising at it’s basic level, to find a catchy tune that sticks in your head, etc.....to create that MEME that spreads like a virus from mind to mind....right now, we are being infected with viruses for our minds. Not just advertisers...but from many levels....from politicians, to religion, to our best friend subconsciously influencing how we are behaving and feeling. This is why it is depressing to be around someone who is depressed all the time!
I think our minds can go at an even higher level of conscious or subconscious thinking when it comes to it’s own influence on ourselves and outside factors.
All those things are the things we have been discussing here in this thread...lol....most yet unprovable, but maybe someday.

Nice!
Please do give a synopsis of your diagram!

Well, the physical universe encompasses everything of course this is the plane on which all things actually exist. Meta consciousness is the transcendent and abstract mind, but it only transcends what it contains, it's still subordinate to the universe.

Subphysical perception is how we take input. Subphysical perception is subordinate to the universe but is below it which is what causes the perceived mind body problem. Subphysical perception does not have adequate dimension to be entirely accurate, so rather than perception transcending the body, the body actually transcends perception, which is why it's subphysical.

Contained in subphysical perception, within metaconsciousness, is our model of reality. This is how we think the world is through our subphysical perception, and how we think we are through our subphysical perception with metaconsciousness presiding over it. The model of reality also includes the diagram and the understanding of it, which leads to:

The subconscious bridge. The subconscious bridge skips the hierarchy and works on its own dimension which is tied to all the others. Like taking a slice of sedimentary strata, it can access all the layers and tie them together in an applied manner, even though it's below your conscious awareness, however since meta consciousness transcends it, you can have a meta awareness of it which feeds back into the subphysical perception, and allows the subconscious bridge to also take its place in the model of reality.

So how would our sub physical perception present itself....just what we see and feel, etc.?
How would our meta consciousness present itself?
When you put your subconscious bridge up there it immediately made me think of what we have been discussing a bit about about lately and that is entangled matter...and the possibility of wormholes being the key to their entanglement, which you could call a "subconscious bridge”...or am I not understanding you correctly?

Yes, that's about correct.

Subphysical perception is your senses and immediate feelings.

Meta consciousness is being conscious of consciousness - yours and others. Similar to how you can think about the way you think, and even make a strategy to alter your thinking in the future based on how you're thinking now. It's well, meta. o.o

Example: if seeing is believing, then how do we end up questioning what we see? Meta consciousness.
