Wowwww.... that turned out magnificent!

Again, I shall reiterate...a big “Fuck you” to anyone ignorant enough to not educate themselves about things they believe to be “true” without thinking critically, scientifically, and spiritually. (then having the nerve to argue with me about it...if it’s not true for you, then leave it be)
You are the very reason that stigmas and taboos still exist...YOU are the reason that many, many people could find help, but it’s withheld by those who think they know better than those who study them for a living.
Brilliant.
Treating PTSD with psychedelics - Marcela Ot’alora

Marcela Ot’alora G. was born and raised in Colombia, S.A. and now lives in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
She has a MA in Transpersonal Psychology and a MFA in Fine Arts. Marcela is dedicated to the treatment and research of trauma, first through art and later through the use of MDMA-assisted Psychotherapy.

She worked as a co-therapist in the first government approved MDMA-assisted psychotherapy study in Madrid Spain and is the Principal Investigator of the Phase II MDMA-assisted psychotherapy study in Boulder, Colorado.

Sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic studies (MAPS), this Phase II clinical pilot study explores the safety and efficacy of administering MDMA in conjunction with Psychotherapy to participants with treatment resistant Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Evidence in completed phase II trials, and preliminary findings in this phase II trial show promising results in reducing
PTSD symptoms with a good safety profile.

Given the limited effectiveness of current available medications and therapeutic strategies, MDMA-assisted
psychotherapy holds promise as a treatment option.

This talk will focus on methodology as well as individual participant experiences.

It's Creepy How Much the Global Elite Are Obsessed With Making Us 'Happy'
A growing number of corporations employ ‘chief happiness officers’, while Google has an in-house ‘jolly good fellow’.

[Mathieu] Ricard’s presence at the 2014 Davos meeting was indicative of a more general shift in emphasis from previous years. The forum was awash with talk of ‘mindfulness’, a relaxation technique formed out of a combination of positive psychology, Buddhism, cognitive behavioural therapy and neuroscience. In total, twenty-five sessions at the 2014 conference focused on questions related to wellness, in a mental and physical sense, more than double the number of 2008.

[...]

A growing number of corporations employ ‘chief happiness officers’, while Google has an in-house ‘jolly good fellow’ to spread mindfulness and empathy. Specialist happiness consultants advise employers on how to cheer up their employees, the unemployed on how to restore their enthusiasm to work, and — in one case in London — those being forcibly displaced from their homes on how to move on emotionally.

International Academy of Consciousness

The International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) is a truly global non-profit research and education organization with a presence in nine countries, as well as a research campus in Portugal.

The IAC conducts formal and informal research on psychic phenomena, particularly involving the out-of-body experience and the projection of consciousness outside of the physical body using individual experience, the development of intersubjective abilities, and laboratory research methodologies.

Through the Journal of Consciousness (JofC), IAC publishes research papers and articles related to the study of the consciousness.
IAC also offers a Global Award for Scientific Contribution to Conscientiology to encourage researchers who've made significant advances in consciousness science.

Although IAC is an organization which studies and teaches techniques to develop psi capacities, it advocates a sense of healthy, open-minded skepticism.
The IAC is not affiliated with any religious, political, or governmental organization and its activities are solely for research and educational purposes.

TEDx:
Altered States of Consciousness and the Perception of Reality

Nanci Trivellato, MSc discusses how extraordinary altered states of consciousness have challenged her perception of reality and led her to apply the scientific spirit to study curious and potentially transformative phenomena like out-of-body experience, the vibrational state, psi phenomena.

Whatever one may think of these experiences, they can have a positive effect on those who experience them and those who interact with them.
That alone is a good enough reason to take a closer look.

Gary Schwartz:
The Five-Finger Test for Extraordinary Evidence

It seems that almost everyone today holds claim to a secret idea or “new theory.”
But when is a theoretical novelty really worth exploring?

Many aspiring innovators feel they have been unfairly ignored or cheated in some way,
and no doubt one could find many instances justifying this perception.
But what is the proper way forward when an idea grabs hold of an individual and won’t let him go.

What is the role of factual evidence?
Dr. Gary Schwartz will take up the acid tests of extraordinary claims – what he calls the “Five Finger Test” (FFT) –
with an emphasis on original and groundbreaking experiments.

He will use as an exemplar his research testing certain claims in parapsychology,
and then applying the FFT to the Electric Universe hypothesis.

Dr. Gary Schwartz is a professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry and surgery at the University of Arizona and director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health.

He is also Chairman of Eternea (www.eternea.org).
He received his doctorate from Harvard University and has served as professor of psychology and psychiatry at Yale University, director of the Yale Psychophysiology Center and co-director of the Yale Behavioral Clinic.

Essential Guide to Consciousness & Astral Projection

....

Astral projection is fun and exciting to do I'm sure....but just so you know... the goal of this Shift is Integration of your higher aspects into your physical body. It's sort of like "Astral Integration". You are shifting your vibration up and they are shifting their vibration down to intersect in the Human Body. ...and let me tell you....it's a strange experience to watch it happen. :)

What do you think of them apples...eh?

PS. I downloaded the book.

Wow isn’t life fucked up sometimes?
My Mom just called to say that my older brother who is HIV positive has now progressed into AIDS...his T-cell count is 40 when the lowest it should be is 200.
To top it off, Sensiko's and my dog, we just found out has osteosarcoma and we may have to put him down any day...it depends on how well he does on the pain meds.
Vet said he would stop eating when it’s time to put him to sleep...he’s not quite there yet.
Just when everything was starting to look up too...
Ugh.
Motherfucker.

WHEN YOUR SLEEP APP RECORDS
MORE THAN JUST YOUR SLEEP

Parlysis.png

When my head hits the pillow every night, I usually fall asleep relatively fast.
Of course this is after I’ve triple-checked all the doors and windows and made sure that they were locked tight so that no murderer can easily climb into my place and slice my neck while I’m counting sheep.

Yes, I’m a paranoid individual.
I thought you knew?

However the real reason why I sleep soundly every night is because I have two very alert dogs.
They’ve made it their business to actively patrol the grounds while my wife and I sleep.

Then I read the following story on Reddit and it made me want to adopt a pack of timber wolves next.

Reddit user: Redwantsblue80Original post:
I use an app called “Sleep As Android” to improve my sleep.

One of the features is that it records your night time noises – snoring, sleep talk, cover ruffles, coughing etc.
I’ve been using the app since October 1 of 2013.

I’ve never caught anything other than sounds created by me changing positions or coughing or something like that (although I’ve been told several times I talk in my sleep by other people).

On 12/30 at 2:04 am I caught something VERY weird.
To set up: This night I was sleeping in my bed – my 3 year old was with me that night as he is scared of the dark.

It was just the two of us in the whole house.
The next night I decided to go through and delete my recordings and saw this particular record.

In it, you can here some clicks that start to get louder over the course of the recording.
Eventually you can hear me say “What are you doing??” and immediately after there is a deep voice that says “Nothing”.

The clicks become very loud at that point and at the very end of the recording you hear the same voice say “That’s them” (I think?).

I am pretty creeped out by this.

I don’t remember being awake that night.
The only plausible explanation is that I answered my own sleeping talking but the voice doesn’t even sound like me or something I could emulate.

It definitely doesn’t sound like a voice my preschooler could emulate, either. I have no idea what the clicks could be.

I keep a fan going at night for white noise but the clicks sounds like they’re coming from right near my phone (which is placed right by me on my bedside table).

I want to say that I’ve picked up the clicks a few times on recordings before but deleted them thinking it was nothing – this is the first time I’ve ever heard anything, though.

Edit #1 Sleep graph showing the type of sleep I was in when the noise recorded
Screenshot showing the time and date of the recording

Edit #4 I have caught no more voice recordings since then.
Also, as suggested by several people, I’ve beefed up my home security, changed locks, that kind of thing.

This happened 4 months ago.
Since then, I have had no more weird voice recordings BUT there were one or 2 more instances of the clicking noise waking me up at night.

During one of the times that it woke me up, I sat up and tried to hear where the sound was coming from (even though I was pretty scared).
The sound seemed to be coming from the area of my fan ) about 12 feet away from my bed) but the closer I got, it started to fade away.

When I got to my fan, it wasn’t coming from my fan at all that I could tell and it just stopped.
Very weird.

Also, I took someone elses advice and walked through my house shortly after the final clicking and asked that whatever it was to please leave my house and that my son and I were scared.

I felt like a complete ding dong doing that, though, but I was up for trying about anything.
I’d say nothing weird has happened for about 3 months now.

I am completely fine with that.
This experience really messed with me for awhile.

Here’s a cleaned up version of the audio:

Right away Redditors began to speculate that what she captured wasn’t anything paranormal, but rather a home invasion caught on audio.
Which, in all honestly, is the worst case scenario.

Redwantsblue80
‘s reply:

sleepapp.jpg

What initial was thought to be an EVP caught on tape, turned out to be creepier in real life.
This incident happened over two years ago and since then Redwantsblue80 has moved residences.

She’s thankful enough that this was an isolated incident and that nothing harmful came from this.

If you use a sleep app, when was the last time you checked your nightly recordings?

Pretty creepy...now I really wanna go see it!

Man Dies While Watching The Conjuring 2,
Viewers Report Ghosts Following Them Home From Theater

man-dies-while-watching-conjuring-2.jpg

If you went to see The Conjuring 2 in theaters this weekend and survived, you should count yourself lucky.
Viewers of James Wan’s horror sequel aren’t just reporting ghosts following them home from the theater, some of them are dying during the film’s climax.

On Tuesday, a 65-year-old man collapsed during the climax of The Conjuring 2, during which famed demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren battle the demonic nun Valak.

The man had complained of chest pains during the climactic scene, only to lose consciousness in his seat.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sure, it could be a coincidence, but here’s the weird part: hospital employees claim they have no idea what happened to the man’s body.
Hospital staff told the man’s theater companion to escort the body to a local medical college hospital for postmortem, only for him to disappear with the corpse.

The odd death is just the latest in a string of strange events surrounding the release of The Conjuring 2, the most common of which are claims that viewers have left the theater only to return to haunted homes.

On Jun 10, one man claimed that he’d returned from a screening of the film only to discover that a fresh cross had manifested across his hotel bathroom’s mirror.

Mysterious cross manifests on hotel bathroom mirror

“We came back to the hotel room at about 2:30am,” he posted to Facebook. “As we were too beat, we decided to nap first. At about 2:45am, Legacy Voronia decided to brush her teeth before continuing her sleep. After brushing her teeth, she came out of the toilet asking me if I pranked her with a cross drawn on the mirror in the toilet. I was puzzled, as I was resting on the bed all the while and I thought she was trying to prank me. We then realized that we were not pulling pranks at each other. I then went to the toilet to check out the cross… It was freshly drawn, as I could see water creeping down on one side of the cross, and the stain is still fresh. I then asked her how that could be me when she was the one standing in front of the mirror all the time. Furthermore, if I were to do that, she would not have miss my presence.”

The couple claim that they fled the room and immediately requested a change with the front desk.
When they returned for their things the following morning, the smudged cross had disappeared.

Warner Bros. employed priests to bless The Conjuring screenings

When the first film premiered in theaters back in 2013, Warner Bros. made news for employing real-life priests to bless freaked-out audiences during the screenings.

Sounds like a few exorcisms might have been a good idea this time around as well.

If you’re planning on catching The Conjuring 2 in theaters this weekend, you might want to bring a crucifix with you just in case.

@Skarekrow Did you see the first Conjuring? I loved it.

Awesome. :)

A basic lesson.

The Protective Aura

Rosicrucian teachers instruct their pupils in regard to creating and maintaining the "Protective Aura", which is a shelter of soul, mind, and body against evil influences directed toward them consciously or unconsciously.

This Protective Aura affords a simple but very powerful and efficient means of protection against all adverse psychic influences, "malicious mental magnetism," black magic, etc., and is also an effective armor against psychic vampirism, or the draining of magnetic strength.

Forming the Protective Aura is very simple.
It consists merely of the formation of a mental image (accompanied by a demand of the will) of yourself being surrounded by an aura of pure, clear, white LIGHT–the symbol and indication of SPIRIT.

A little practice will enable you actually to feel the presence and power of this Protective Aura.
The White LIGHT is the radiation of SPIRIT, and SPIRIT is master of all things.

A teacher has said, "The highest and deepest occult teaching is that the white LIGHT must never be used for attack or personal gain, but that it may properly be employed by anyone, at any time, to protect himself or herself against adverse psychic influences, no matter by whom exerted. It is the armor of the SPIRIT, and may well be employed in such a way whenever the need arises."
