PracticalTyping's Personality Test

That is really tricky. I will say that perceivers have a hard time getting things done in real life. Follow through is possible and even common, but if takes a lot of energy for a peceiver. Having at least some consistent follow through without extra effort comes naturally for J's. Since it's so close on the cognitive function level, a utilitarian approach might help decide. Here's an example: my infj sibling always prepared balanced and aesthetic lunches, consistenly, every day: it came natural. I'd often forget to eat, then either eat large meals or graze: making a lunch felt like a waste of energy, since it was just for me.

I will add that closure is extremely important to Js. We can’t stand it when something feels open and incomplete. For instance it drives me crazy when a bank account that I have with a zero balance remains open but for my “P” friends this doesn’t bother them at all. My desk is also always organized, filed, and my days have to be structured and the same everyday. I don’t function well with what I perceive as chaos. Everything must have its place or I will go nuts. I’m not over the top with it but it does have to be in a way that I can find things

Are you super conscious of your own personal feelings or do you absorb the feelings of others?

A little bit of both, but absorbing the feelings of others is very pronounced

If anything, I kind of work through my emotions externally sometimes, and I don't fully understand them until I do

If that makes sense

That sounds like Fe to me. Are they strong and prominent feelings or do you often forget you have them/ find yourself "blocked " in emotional moments instead of experiencing these emotions?

They are strong and prominent, a burst of emotion, but then I force myself to step back

And I go and distract myself with nonsense for a while. Music, memes, tumblr, youtube, netflix, reddit, games, etc.

After that whirlwind of whatever, I usually feel fine

It could be more "I," unless you feel extroverted

Nah, I've been exploring this more off of the forum and I am definitely an introvert. A bit of an ambivert, but I lean towards introversion. And I am certain about Fe being somewhere in my main stack. I was reading about which mbti types might be inclined to absorb the mannerisms of others (another thing I do), and Fe was mentioned there as well

Oh gosh. I came here to say something, but then I saw your message, got distracted, and now I can't remember what it was. No hope for me

You scored infp with a low confidence level

Your confidence level indicates how mixed your answers were, and/or how close the score was for your second most likely type. The farther apart your most likely and second most likely types are (ie: the greater the difference), the stronger the confidence score. If you believe that your personality type result does not fit you, we have generated these two potential alternate types, based on your highest cognitive function scores: enfp or isfp.

Your highest scoring cognitive functions were:
Fi, Ne, Se, Ni

Cheers,
Ian

But! I forgot to add this

Ne was mentioned as possibly doing the same thing at times. From what I read, Fe and Ne can actually both carry the same weight here

Ne (Extraverted Intuition): Explores multiple possibilities and connections, sometimes absorbing others' traits as part of exploring different "worlds" or viewpoints.

Sounds like INFJ, then!

The distraction was intentional. (not rly, but I was trying to make it look intentional, as a power move 🤔)

What? But you have a *lot* of confidence! They don't know what they're talking about! 😤

It's possible! Buuuuut I'm fairly confident about being P, not J, so idk about infj

Unintentional distractions? I didn't see any of those around here :relieved:
