Religious Songs and Why They Matter.

I have shared this song on this forum before, but it is one that is dear to my heart. I believe that a person should not get baptized until they are willing to lay down their life for their faith. Some places that have heavy persecution will ask the person, "Are you willing to suffer for Jesus? Are you willing to die for Jesus?" before they baptize them. So often, in the West, people are so cavalier about their faith. 65% of Americans say they are Christian. I HIGHLY doubt that this many people would die for their faith. For example, many people just went right along with the Covid Vax due to just the slightest amount of social pressure. Knowing what the world knows now (even though I more or less knew it from the beginning) about how the Covid vax is more or less pointless for most people and does NOT "stop the spread," it's an example of government overreach forcing people to comply for dumb reasons. It's examples like this I draw from seeing that most Christians are very weak in their convictions (even though many of them talk a big game, such as being such strong supporters of Trump; I digress). Christ says that if we love our family more than Christ, if we even love our lives more than Christ, we are not worthy of Him. It's extreme, but Jesus was a pretty dang extreme dude.
