The coming American civil war.

More s'more schnapps!

*Sigh* I will never ever understand Americans. The people who want to take "take advantage" really amount to nothing, just like when Reagan talked about the "welfare queens". Its a myth that people have bought into, that somehow the poor are these lazy losers who want to sponge off the rest of us honest hard workers. Meanwhile billions of dollars goes to banks to bail out their sorry a$$es and no one seems to bat an eyelash. Bankers in other countries went to jail for the fraud they perpetuated in 2008, but not America. The issue is not whether the one percenters exist, the issue is the gap between the one percenters and the other 99%. You think they share their money and it somehow trickles down to the rest of us. Well it doesn't and that been proven time and time again. So you seemly have no problem bailing out the banks, yet you begrudge giving working people a decent wage. You have no trouble subsidizing companies like Wal-Mart who refuse to pay their workers a decent wage. You are subsidizing them by paying for social assistance to their workers.
the and Sriracha No offence, but you wouldn't know a true socialist if you tripped over one on the street.

Honestly Americans need to wake up. Listen, I mean actually listen to what Bernie Sanders is saying. That would be a good start.

I think to suggest ALL Americans are this way is an overestimate. Just because American politics promotes this type of behavior does not mean that the American people are agreeing with the actions taken. Many people know that trickle down economics is incorrect. To suggest that Europe or other areas of the world are immune to the propaganda that perpetuates the illusions / delusions that the man behind the curtain is a good person is not realistic. People operate out of fear and do what they must to take care of themselves and their families.

No, WalMart is not good to its people.

The bankers should not have been bailed out but the bankers are not national they are international and their reach is beyond that of one country (it includes many, probably yours). But that is the point, control is handled by the money and the money changers are dictating to the governments. Sure we could have said NO and created a collapse in the financial institutions but I assure you that would have only resulted in the rich getting richer and an expedited elimination of the middle class. If you want it to stop then there has to be another option for people to choose. Give people an option to place their money / earnings in another area that ensures sovereignty and a change might be possible. But ultimately the last people holding the old currency will be left with nothing unless it is implemented gradually.

As for the civil war, I think it's already happening. There is a militarization of the local police forces. In America there are more people incarcerated than any other country. Privacy is mostly gone and the Supreme court is currently looking at a case to decide if the police are allowed to identify where people are utilizing their cellphones without a warrant.

So, what to do? I know one thing that would create a change. Snatch up the family members of those that are driving this sick system and perhaps they would make some better decisions. Because, I don't think they are going to stop just because we protest outside their building or if we demand change - why would they. I don't like the idea of going after people indirectly but chosen abandonment from this system is the only way. It has been required in every revolution that has ever been fought. And if you want to go after the majority of these families you need to look outside the US, because the inner circle does not reside here. America is the club that beats down the rest of the world, the people who hold that club are not Americans and don't live here. If in fact they are here it is only for safe haven during a given time period. Just my opinion.

*Readies musket and rides horse to @the 's' house to wage a civil war.*
I truly believe this is one of the problems we face. When people say "civil war" they relate it to the only thing they know. In this case a very old war of whom no one alive today remembers. Civil war simply means a war fought by the citizens of an established country. You probably think we are more civilized right? A bit more evolved? Humans have not evolved mentally for at least as long as recorded history. We are then same humans that used to perform human sacrifices and participated in things like the Salem witch trials.

I'm beginning to doubt that some of you "intuitives" are really intuitive.

Interesting. But what if the issue is global. Would the "civil war then be a world war? Though our system of government is regional, every country is globally symbiotic. Much of that policy change can be credited to Mr Clinton. :/

Pish posh. Nobody has used a musket for years!
The civil war will be fought by robots engaging in hand to hand combat while we all watch for sport from floating antigravity cities in the sky.

More generalizing insults...hate speech when it is in almost every post about “liberals” posted by you.
Let me try...

I have realized for some time now that some of the “INTJs” on the forum are incredibly illogical, arrogant, and wouldn’t know “intuition” if it smacked them upside their head.

I will completely agree. From my experience with an INTJ friend, this is all too true.

Petty arguments that turn into personal attacks on any whim of chance.

Not to digress... but:

By civil war, you mean the impending revolution.

A. America is slowwwwwwly (maybe not so slow) becoming more fascist as the deep state loses control, and will use their power to sustain the illusion.

B. People are waking up, faster, and faster, and faster, with each waking day, to the bullshit, the lies, the propaganda. We are over it.

When I wrote this post I was really thinking about the response of American government to the financial crisis in 2008. The way the U.S. government responded was different than other countries. Compare the response of a small country like Iceland. The head of banks and high ranking government officials went to jail. Who went to jail in the United States? For the record no one went to jail in the UK either. What reforms were enacted after the crisis and what's going to happen to these reforms now? Dodd-Frank will soon be repealed, now that the very people that created and perpetuated the crisis are in charge of the system. No other countries are immune to the discredited theories of trickle down economics, but the US is the centre of such ideas and more powerful politicians subscribe to these ideas in the USA than anywhere else. I do realize that many Americans do not subscribe to these ideas, but many do, otherwise Republicans would be in control right now.

I agree...I think with them trying to pass this “healthcare” bill that makes it unaffordable for millions of people, kicks 8 million children off of health insurance, etc., etc. will wake some people up.
Imho, if it gets passed we are going to see more protests than we have ever seen in our lifetimes thus far.
People are so sick of being gouged.
So where “Obamacare” the ACA actually made healthcare affordable to millions of people who couldn’t afford it before...this one actually takes coverage away from millions while giving huge tax breaks to people who are already rich and don’t need it but to hoard it.
You are killing Peter to pay Paul.
Yes, the ACA has many, many things that should be fixed...but this new GOP plan in the Senate is even more cruel than the House plan that passed.
I think by them making healthcare so unaffordable it’s going to backfire in all their faces and we will end up with universal or single payer healthcare...which is what we should be pushing for anyhow.
We’re arguably the richest fucking nation in the world but we can’t pay our workers a living wage, nor can we guarantee health coverage, SS has been raided by the government when it’s not their money to touch...so far they have “borrowed” 2.1 Trillion...then they talk about how insolvent it is and how it needs to be cut - hey guess what fuck-o, it’s not your money to cut - it’s the money taken from hundreds of millions of working American’s checks, mine included.
Please everyone, realize that it is your money....it is an entitlement, but it’s not a hand out, it is comprised of all your cumulative years of working - you are entitled to that money when you turn a certain age or need it for health reasons...because it’s yours.
Congress needs to pay back the $2.1 Trillion with interest.
Then raise the SS cut off to over $200,000 (as in, those making more than that, pay no SS on those monies, even though they collect huge SS sums at the appropriate age), solvency problem solved with money to spare.
