I suddenly remembered this song about a month ago and have been listening to it since then. I like the mixture of decades. 70s guitar and vocals (the singer reminds me of Olivia Newton-John), 80s synths and vaguely 60s rhythm section. I also like how it's difficult to tell how serious it is. It's campy enough to be humorous, yet not so over the top that one couldn't detect a tone of earnest longing there.
