I watched this because of the funny title. It was shocking how many points it hit, which I have noticed (but kept to myself) about some of my friends. I'm feeling a bit ashamed that what I have often regarded with disdain in others may be causes or symptoms of unhappiness in them.

just a side note: I’ve got the Oxo Pro 12" non-stick skillet, and it really is all that. Easily the best of its kind, and the best quality non-stick coating I have ever seen on any cookware or device. Use it as it should be (within PTFE sensibility), and it will last for years and years, still doing its thing.

Don’t want PTFE? Get a de Buyer or Matfer Bourgeat carbon steel skillet and slide that egg around with wild abandon, and also sear and put that beauty in the oven at high heat—and pay more.

Of course, the sensible among you will do the right thing and own and use both, because...reasons.
