As a cohort, on average, Baby Boomers were more violent, abusive, and neglectful toward their Gen-X children than any generation which followed. The Baby Boomers were also more violent, abusive, and neglectful toward their Gen-X children than were the Silent and Greatest generations (in the United States).

The statistics were such that as a Gen-X child I saw this psa often enough—and I’m sure I dissociated when it came on because it never connected with me.
