I love the paintings you shared but the Monet one in particular is really gorgeous! I did not know it, the colours are something else.

My two favourite painters are Caspar David Friedrich (Romantic period) and the surreal painter René Magritte. Friedrich's pictures have a unique dreamy, deep and somewhat melancholy quality to them, but there is always hope in all the turmoil. Magritte's paintings are just inspiring, aiming to stretch your horizon. Well, here we go

Also, there is a strong connection to the elements, more often than not to the sea.

Yes, Turner can be quite similar to Friedrich.

Caspar David Friedrich just feels like home. Well, it's Rügen after all! And he captures it not only in its landscapish quality, if you know what I mean.
I never really got into abstract painting too much. Some things by Miro I enjoy though
