Clinton vs Trump, Trump vs Clinton

TRUMP: ... 600 — wait a minute, Anderson, 600 times. Well, she said she was awake at 3 o’clock in the morning, and she also sent a tweet out at 3 o’clock in the morning, but I won’t even mention that. But she said she’ll be awake. Who’s going — the famous thing, we’re going to answer our call at 3 o’clock in the morning. Guess what happened? Ambassador Stevens — Ambassador Stevens sent 600 requests for help
Trump made a ludicrous claim that U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens made 600 requests for help before he perished in the attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi. This is a misunderstanding of a figure widely used by Republicans on the House Select Committee on Benghazi but even they never claimed that these came from Stevens.

The Fact Checker delved deeply into this “600” figure. It is a subjective accounting of r”equests and concerns”, not actual requests for help. There is no dispute that security was inadequate in Benghazi and that the State Department failed to respond to all requests for security. But the shorthand description of “600 requests” has left a misleading impression — so much so that many reporters and lawmakers appear to believe that all of these requests were ignored. At least some of the requests were actually fulfilled — and the counting of “concerns” may be subject to dispute.

care to back that up?

Off the top of my head because I don't have a lot of time... that D'nesh guy who made that Obama and Hillary documentaries, climate change deniers, christian cake bakers, the Bengazi video guy? The left threatens to investigate you, they will prosecute you, and if they can they will jail you if you get too mouthy or out of line.

I'm perfectly fine with DT saying he would enforce the law against Hillary. That's not a threat, and if it is then what is the left going to do when they finally get a real glimpse of themselves in the mirror when there's no one left to point fingers at and no one to point their outrage towards for the very things they are? More pearl clutching or will they run away in horror at their ugly image and throw themselves off a cliff?

Trump's jail comment had nothing to do with a personal vendetta. No matter anyone's political affiliation it's clear that Hillary has done things that should be investigated, and gotten away with things that regular citizens wouldn't, simply because of the power she wields. A crime is a crime, and no one should be exempt from the law because of their power or station. Before anyone says "But Trump..." It doesn't matter what Trump has or has not done, it doesn't negate the misdeeds of anyone else. Any wrongdoings on Hillary's part stand independent and are hers to bear alone. If you don't think that she has done some incredibly shady things, then I'm not sure how much of the world you are seeing, because even hardcore Democrats I know admit to knowledge of her corruption, and have stated with conviction that for the first time in decades they can't vote for their party, with her standing as the party's representative.

Dinesh Joseph D'Souza
In May 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty to one felony count of making illegal contributions in the names of others.[105] D'Souza told Judge Berman, "I knew that causing a campaign contribution to be made in the name of another was wrong and something the law forbids. I deeply regret my conduct." In September 2014, the court sentenced D'Souza to five years probation, eight months in a halfway house (referred to as a "community confinement center") and a $30,000 fine.[13] He is also required to perform a day (eight hours) ofcommunity service each week during his probation and must undergo therapy on a weekly basis.[12]

His co-producers alleged without evidence that the indictment was politically motivated retribution for the success of his 2012 movie 2016: Obama's America.[106] In May, United States District Judge Richard M. Berman rejected that contention, stating, "The court concludes the defendant has respectfully submitted no evidence he was selectively prosecuted."[107] D'Souza's guilty plea upon which he was convicted was cited as enough evidence of the appropriateness of conviction. Judge Berman also made explicit reference in his sentencing remarks to claims of persecution that D'Souza made publicly outside of court proceedings. The New York Times reported that "While the judge said that Mr. D’Souza had an “absolute right” to express his opinions, he described his claims of political persecution as “nonsense,” and scolded the defendant, saying that he continued to “deflect and minimize” the seriousness of his crime".[13][108][109]
United States District Judge Richard M. Berman
Berman served as a judge in the New York State Family Court for Queens County from 1995 to 1998.[1] On May 21, 1998, he was named by President Bill Clinton to a seat on the District Court for the Southern District of New York that had been vacated by Kevin Thomas Duffy. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 21, 1998. He assumedsenior status on September 11, 2011. Berman is a member of the New York State-Federal Judicial Council, which advises the courts on issues of joint interest to the state and federal judiciary. Berman served as Chairman of the Council from 2011-12.[2]
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula (born 1957), is an Egyptian-born Coptic Christian, a U.S. resident[1]
The Daily Beast reported that Nakoula was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 1997 after being pulled over and found to be in possession of ephedrine, hydroiodic acid and $45,000 in cash.[6] Nakoula was charged with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.[20] He pleaded guilty and was sentenced in 1997 to one year in Los Angeles County Jail and three years probation. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, he violated probation in 2002 and was re-sentenced to another year in county jail.[25]
In 2010, Nakoula pleaded no contest to federal charges of bank fraud in California. Nakoula had opened bank accounts using fake names and stolen Social Security numbers, including one belonging to a 6-year-old child,[3] and deposited checks from those accounts to withdraw at ATMs.[26] The prosecutor described the scheme as check kiting: "You try to get the money out of the bank before the bank realizes they are drawn from a fraudulent account. There basically is no money."[7] Nakoula’s June 2010 sentencing transcript shows that after being arrested, he testified against an alleged ring leader of the fraud scheme, in exchange for a lighter sentence.[27][28][29] He was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison, followed by five years probation (supervised release), and ordered to pay $794,701 in restitution.[7][30] He was sent to prison, then to a halfway house,[31] and was released from custody in June 2011.

A few weeks after his release, Nakoula began working on Innocence of Muslims.[31][32] Conditions of Nakoula's probation include not using aliases and not using the internet without prior approval from his probation officer.[33][34]

Innocence of Muslims[edit]
Main article: Innocence of Muslims
Nakoula has been identified as a key figure behind Innocence of Muslims, an anti-Islamic video posted on YouTube that disparages Islam's prophet Muhammad, and that has been blamed for sparking demonstrations and riots in the Middle East, North Africa,[1] and other regions. After protests against Innocence of Muslims began on 11 September 2012,[35] a man who identified himself as "Sam Bacile", the YouTube poster of the videos, called the Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal.[6] He claimed he had produced a movie titledInnocence of Muslims, which was being promoted on YouTube. He falsely claimed the movie had been funded by $5 million collected from 100 Jewish donors, and that he himself was an Israeli Jew.[6][32]

By 13 September, Nakoula had been linked to the movie and the persona Sam Bacile, by the Associated Press and U.S. federal authorities.[1] The Associated Press reported that the cellphone number that "Bacile" used for an interview matched Nakoula's address,[36][37][38] and among Nakoula's 13 previously known aliases were names which were similar to Sam Bacile (his middle name is Basseley).[3][22] Nakoula denied being Bacile,[36][37][38] but federal law enforcement officials identified Nakoula as the key filmmaker.[22][25][39] Parts of the video appear to have been recorded at Nakoula's home.[40] According to authorities, Nakoula claimed he wrote the script while in prison. He said he was a producer and that the money for it ($50,000-$60,000) came from his wife's family in Egypt.[21][41]

Arrest and imprisonment[edit]
Following the violent reactions to the video, Nakoula and his family went into hiding, and the Cerritos home was listed for sale.[18] His attorney has said he has received threats to his safety.[39] On 15 September 2012, federal authorities took Nakoula in for an interview about possible probation violations related to the film's distribution on the internet.[42][43][44][45]

On 27 September 2012, U.S. federal authorities arrested Nakoula in Los Angeles charging eight counts of probation violation.[39][46] Prosecutors alleged that some of the violations included making false statements regarding his role in the film and his use of the alias "Sam Bacile".[5] None of the charges relate to his use of the internet.[39] Following a hearing before a judge, Nakoula was ordered to jail without bail, with the judge citing probation violations including lying to probation officials, "danger to the community" and "lack of trust in the defendant".[4] On 7 November, he pleaded guilty to four of the charges against him in an apparent plea bargain. He was subsequently sentenced to a year in federal prison and four years of supervised release.[14]

On 28 November 2012, an Egyptian court, prior to the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government of Mohamed al-Morsi, sentenced Nakoula, along with several other Coptic Christians, and anti-Islam preacher Terry Jones, all to death, in absentia, for defaming Islam; all of these individuals, however, live outside Egypt.[47][48] A Pakistani railways minister privately offered a $100,000 bounty for the death of Nakoula.[49][50]

Donald Trump denied that he encouraged people to seek out a supposed “sex tape” involving former Miss Universe Alicia Machado. But that’s exactly what he did.

At 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, sent out this tweet:

“Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?”

In response to a question for moderator Anderson Cooper, Trump denied that he had done so.

DONALD TRUMP

Well, you owe the president an apology because, as you know very well, your campaign, Sidney Blumenthal, he's another real winner that you have. And he's the one that got this started along with your campaign manager and they were on television just two weeks ago he was saying exactly that.

We have fact-checked Trump’s birther claims previously (several times) online and on air. At the event in which Trump finally admitted that Obama was born in the U.S., he shifted the blame to Clinton’s campaign. We noted that Trump was trying to strike a “false equivalence” that does not compare to what he did: See here and here and here for more on Trump’s specific claims. As we noted, “There's a big difference between what fringe supporters of Clinton said at the time, who were disavowed by the candidate, and the campaign Trump himself undertook in the subsequent years.”

Trump's jail comment had nothing to do with a personal vendetta

I disagree completely.

I do find it strange and a huge double standard the way Hillary is judged for both the e-mail server and the Benghazi issue.

(1) E-mail server. The use of private e-mail server is not limited to Hillary Clinton. She is far from the only individual who has done this. There is a long list of mainly Republicans who have also used private e-mail servers, and who have handled classified information. If there some sort of need to reinvestigate or reopen the issue for Hillary, then why shouldn't the others be investigated? Trump supporters say nothing about this point because they have nothing to say. They don't want all the others (Rove, Powell, Rice, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, and many others) who have done this to be investigated as well because that really opens a can of worms doesn't it? If you want to be seen as something more than a personal vendetta you better start expanding the list of people to be investigated.

(2) Benghazi. Here is the list of Embassy Attacks which happened 2001-2009. http://www.politifact.com/embassyattacks/ How many investigations? Zero. How much conservative outrage? Zero. How much money spent on investigations? Zero. Really pale by comparison doesn't it? At least 20 Americans were killed in these attacks.

Yes Hillary may have been involved in thing you could call shady, but all members of Republican establishment also need to investigated for doing the same things. She is really no worse than any of them and many of people condemning here are the same people who voted for GWB twice.

and now this

I know at least 5 people who have been on the fence about who to vote for who have decided to vote for Trump just to keep Hillary out of the White House. They have made their choice after the debate and after wiki leaks.

Holy shit! my whole approach has been wrong, damn! why didn't i just take what I wanted?

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula
This , of the several mentioned by @CindyLou seems to be the most deserving of the charge that because of his political speech he was investigated and jailed.
The question becomes, would a Republican Administration have acted differently?

Mr Nakoula posted a video which incited violence against non Muslims (aka Americans) in several very fucked up Muslim countries, Egypt, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq....and the very hawkish (maybe too hawkish) Secretary of State and the very cautious (and not cautious enough) President came down on him like a ton of bricks.

Paint that as the left suppressing the rights of the right if you want but I say fuck that shit. If your freedom of expression put soldiers and diplomats and such in harms way make sure you are squeaky clean.

Perhaps, perhaps the FBI is corrupt and its Director is a political stooge. If that is the case then by all means vote for Mr. Trump.
But if that is the case then it really does not matter who you vote for or if you vote.

"At a Pennsylvania rally the day after the second presidential debate, Donald Trump energized the crowd by reading directly from a recent Wikileaks release of Democratic emails
The only one she was speaking to is Sidney Blumenthal, who's a sleaze..............
"So, Blumenthal writes a quote -- this just came out a little while ago. I have to tell you this. (Trump reads from paper.) ‘One important point has been universally acknowledged by the nine previous reports about Benghazi’ -- this is Sidney Blumenthal, the only one she was talking to. ...

" ‘The attack was almost certainly preventable’ -- Benghazi. ‘Clinton was in charge of the State Department, and it failed to protect the United States personnel and an American consulate in Libya’ -- he meant Benghazi. ‘If the GOP wants to raise that as a talking point against her, it is legitimate.’

"In other words, he is now admitting that they could have done something about Benghazi. This just came out a little while ago."
Following the rally in Wilkes-Barre, Kurt Eichenwald, a Newsweek reporter, wrote an article in which he noted that he had written those words himself.Specifically, an article he wrote from Oct. 21, 2015."

so it was not Mr Blumenthal's words but a reporter writing about the affair and yet DJ had no compunction about claiming it was.....why, because he is a moron.

Excellent point.
Shouldn't we start asking how to take our government back? Putting aside things like whether you believe socialism is a good choice or not... the government is not supposed to oppress its people. If we cant even trust our legal system or our law makers, what do we have?
