My response is because there will always be a mass and suffering, but there will not always a be light and antidote. If one ultimately goes on to be hated by the most, then to be loved by the one that will go on to do more than you is the best outcome for whatever the true nature of things is. So long as someone does not lose their highest hope there is the potential for a time when most others will pick theirs back up again and in so doing will give rise to another age of history that people take careful note in remembering as a guide and inspiration from what so easily causes the worst of our lot in this world, for this potential I'm willing to be hated.
