Reminds me of that movie Stripes with Bill Murray.
Close, it's from Hot Shots
Reminds me of that movie Stripes with Bill Murray.
EVERY fucking four years we are told that it's the most important election of our lives and it never is.
They are openly admitting it now which is kinda funny
Not in a direct way, but if you pay attention to wording it can't be interpreted any other way
Just flat out, pollsters inject bias and manipulate numbers, it's just what they do and have always done
But I mean if you know anything about how data and the system functions you'd already know this
It's just funny to hear newscasters openly discussing it
I love that you look at the betting markets. I'm not a gambler, but analytics are part of my formal education AND those models are incredibly accurate. There's too much money circulating around wagering for them to be incorrect.
I'm not as worried about the candidate responses since I know both sides will keep hating one another regardless of the outcome. I'm more worried about big money creating chaos like we saw with burning cities, looting, theft, and violence in the past. I've known it for quite some time but now Musk has started calling out Soros for his manipulation of all aspect of a countries governmental structures - the U.S. is not his first rodeo. In fact, I heard that he just purchased 200 radio stations across the country and the FCC fast tracked the purchase - that is dangerous given his history.
Everyone be safe and smart today. Exercise your right to vote and treat yourself to something nice today - you never know how tomorrow is going to develop.
In betting markets, NO. The groups that create those models are called think-tanks and they don't share. Are there statistic about gamblers betting on the option they think will make them the most money correlating to being more likely to actually vote?
Watch the ''stop the steal'' gang use the discrepancy between polls and results to support their treasonous claims.
This seems like wishful thinking. I know I've been guilty of desiring it, but maybe I've become more of a realist in this aspect of my societal views.hopefully this will all come out on the other side with better refinement
This seems like wishful thinking
I know, it really sucks.
Oh, I haven't abandoned hope, I've simply accepted how the world has changed and recognize that it will be a long while before it stabilizes. It's not what I want but, "we can't always get what we want."I am literally Frodo/Sam so it doesn't suck at all.
What I meant by "the other side" wasn't how you are interpreting it, which is a much wider look at things.
I simply meant that there may be specific helpful changes to our institutions which will help them function better.
That's entirely possible and actually inevitable assuming the whole system doesn't collapse (also a possibility/inevitability)
You may personally find benefit in abandoning hope in order to accept certain things, that's fine.
It's not how I function though. I'm kind of annoying like that.
Eternally optimistic, gameshow host level psychosis right here.
One down year and Ohio has been removed. I had no idea.
