Intriguing. I wasn't aware of the earlier version of this lens either. I bet you can hire these lenses to try them out - but sadly, I don't have binocular vision so it would be wasted on me.

There’s a bright side though. I could shoot a 4K video on my slr with a fisheye lens. I bet that would render as a mono VR pretty well through a VR headset. It would only cover the front but that would still be ok. I’d not thought of trying that till I saw your YT video.
