Some reason, in my family, little problems have always had a way of turning massive, and going on, and on, and on. Having a spotless car is an obsession that I have never been able to understand, even remotely. I would buy a "rust" coloured car to blend with the dust it would collect.
I just remembered, I asked Dad what it was, and he told me, and I refused to use it after that. Wasn't I an activist back then? Sick
Actually I did that too. My parents made me rub their cars with it in the late 80s and early 90s, but I was never really sure what it was.
You need to just wipe that "asshole feeling" off your mind, the way you would chamois water droplets off a car after washing it.
