The toilet paper thing becomes even more absurd when you replace it with other random supplies.

Today:
SO: Do we need anything else at the store?
Me: Just regular groceries. Get tofu.
SO: I bet that isn't sold out. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
Me: :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Condoms would be nice. We're in for another baby boom otherwise. Don't think the planet needs that.

A few more tidbits of fun info...

Ohio Department of Health believes 100,000 Ohioans are carrying coronavirus
Cases expected to double every 6 days
https://www.news5cleveland.com/news...says-100-000-ohioans-are-carrying-coronavirus

That is just 1% of the population of that state btw.
Don't freak out, but chances are it's already in your city and area.
What we need to do is take all the precautions we can to not let it spread rapidly.
The key is to allow it to spread slowly so our medical services are not overwhelmed.

Also...this is kind of ironic.

Christian megachurch cancels ‘faith healing’ service in response to coronavirus outbreak

Don't they have faith?!

Guess not.

All schools in my city are shut down until April 24th!!
Wow!
Lucky damn kids.

What!? I just logged in to specifically post here. The schools, and many businesses in the area I'm currently working (south part of Indy) are closed. I just went to the hardware store for work and the roads are clogged and the hardware store was packed full of people, many with their kids.
Watch that dissipate over a few days.

Less traffic in my case. People are advised to stay and work from home especially those who are working with high contact hours between people to people. The streets are significantly cleaner. I kind of like it.

Bringing kids to places like that is putting kids in danger.

Social distancing is encouraged.
Someone actually gave me the answer to this. They use the toilet paper to wipe their hands dry after washing them with soap and water.

Maybe they use them as body towels too.

Schools in my area are starting to close for 4 weeks. I also heard Trump is going to declare a national state of emergency this afternoon.
Really? How many confirmed cases are there in murica by now?

Condoms would be nice. We're in for another baby boom otherwise. Don't think the planet needs that.
Hmmm. Could be the replacement for the thousands killed because of the virus. Same same. Heh.

Got news that the nursing homes in our area have now stopped allowing visitors. I'm very happy to hear this as it was getting sketchy there with them saying only one visitor at a time. Like that would help?
Visitors should take hot showers before enterinh premises!

Lol not really no. Teachers like me are going to give them one hell of a hard time studying by themselves.

@mintoots I don't even know. Keeps changing. Last I heard was over 2k known cases with 41 who passed away.
No official count yet?

Yep, people should panic.

Our count is 64 patients so far with the death toll freshly 4 since last night. And people are panic buying. Hahaha.

Well they should. I want them all to be very afraid. Makes for more quiet existence.

We are woefully behind on being able to test people. We are like 6 weeks behind on having our shit together here. They still aren't able to test everyone with symptoms. Then you see South Korea doing drive by tests at about 10k per day and doing a really good job of containing.

Lololol ikr? I'm such a fan of South Korea right now. It's such a small country though so they have advantage.
