Corona / Wuhan virus

A ghost town would be great! I have 3 kids and today was the day for me to re-up on regular groceries. I went to the store... It was packed and the shelves were bare. So I went to a small dollar store where I did find most of the groceries I wanted, but I was there for 2 hours because it was also packed full of people and all but one employee called in. They were scared of getting sick and management just let one single person work the entire day. All alone! It was chaos in the store and that one woman was doing EVERYTHING as the only employee in the store because everyone else was scared. So I gave her my toilet paper money...
No online shopping? We had our groceries delivered. Took the delivery courier a while though because she had to elbow people at the supermarket. I don't get the panic buying though. I really really don't.

If we get what we needed as usual, and not in crowds, isn't that less hassle for everyone?

And when you go to work...I will go shopping...muhahaha

My bro is an Aries and an RN and not at all concerned. Not doing the social distancing thing. My son is an Aries and 4 and can't keep his finger out of his nose so partly true lol. My step dad is a Capricorn and pissed one of his jobs has been cancelled indefinitely. My husband is a taurus and won't stop cleaning the house but thinks we have all probably already had it and are fine.

This one thing that makes the "progressives" close borders.

Too little too late.

I love how the German and French Governments criticise the UK for wanting back Border powers and the US for shutting down travel to Europe - then do exctly the same thing.

Viruses do not respect geo-politics.

The borders should have been shut when the viruses was in China but noooo, the WHO had to insist "We cannot punish China".

Its not about punishment its about stopping the spread of disease. My god for an organisation of supposedly intelligent rational individuals these people are dumb. Or rather, being puppeted by the Chinese government.

I love as well that the narrative has changed to - Europe is now the centre of the epidemic, despite still having only 20,000 cases in Italy and 80,000 cases still in China...

Kinda funny that one is able to check several boxes rather than just one lol, going for deeper meaning this is an unplanned vacation for most and they probably needed the time off despite the financial stress.

Yeah, it is. That's how these character lists work, though. I'm an Aquarian. LOL.

@MoonFlier - It made me laugh.

Anyone know anyone who has it or is in quarantine yet?

Here in the Northeast, the number of people I know in quarantine is steadily rising, but I only know one person who has it: a west coast farmer who shut his farm down.
Someone on my SO's production tested positive, but not someone he worked directly with. Try to be patient and watch older movies and shows. They'll be back to work when the fog clears.

This has a silver lining. I'm not trying to be Pollyanna about this, but use the weeks you have off to focus on things you want to do at home but keep putting off, especially if you are a writer, artist, or musician ,or if you need time to wind down, catch up on reading, change some habits, or start something new. It's going to recalibrate our priorities, change our focus, and teach us a few things.

China has <100 new cases daily, while Spain, Germany and Italy have >1000. So Europe is the new center.

Will see how it goes when China slowly lifts the restrictions, of course.
