Trump will win again

I'm getting very annoyed with some of the reactions coming out of the US.

Those in the media and political "establishment", who weren't in favour of Trump have used some extreme goose-stepping rhetoric against him for years. Now some of the same people seem to be offended that Trump is announcing government appointments that very opposed to the "establishment."

I don't understand how anyone who has attacked Trump can expect him to be friendly to them now. It's so bizarre that Trump's opponents should expect to be treated with kid gloves after so many years of vitriol.

Why are you upset, who even cares what they say anymore? It is completely irrelevant except to the few deeply indoctrinated people that continue to stick with them after they've been wrong so many times.

The views are down across the board and people are self-deporting from Twitter/X because they've been mocked so much. I saw even The Guardian announcing they will not be posting on X anymore. It's so over for mainstream media. Enjoy having you 100 followers in an echo chamber on whatever new platform you are going to. They are gonna be dealt a lesson in networking effects.

They same goes for establishment politicians like Liz Warren and Nansi Pelosi. At least with younger ones like AOC I see some reflection and nimbleness in her opinions.

I couldn't care less what they have to say about anything at this point. They are like the "inverse Jim Cramer" in the financial world, you are better of going with the opposite of what they say.

We could all use with less media that intentionally emotionally manipulates.
Unfortunately everyone is addicted to it, whether it be mainstream or alt media.

When Michelle Obama suggested that America and its children needed to eat healthier, people lost their minds.

And the NYT ran “nanny state” articles for a year after NYC put the kibosh on big sodas.

Well RFK has released a beginning list of those things he will seek to ban once things are rolling:
  • Mountain Dew
  • Crest toothpaste
  • Children’s Tylenol
  • Welch’s fruit snacks
  • grape juice
  • Vaseline
  • children’s sunscreen
  • mayonnaise
  • Gatorade
And the MAGAts are cheering.

I’m not concerned with the items listed specifically, only the shifting wind of hypocrisy.

Well, caring is a bit much. It’s just something I noted.

Cheers,
Ian

Do you think it was a negotiation tactic?

When gaetz was nominated, I immediately thought Trump was using a "big ask" or "extreme demand" negotiation move.

She’s never been more on point.

I really considered if it was worth posting a Shoe video. In this case, yes. Because she gets it.

I don't get why that youtuber is so keen for the democrats to reform themselves into left wing populists.

What has happened is that the democrats have made themselves into corporate elitists, and the republicans have made themselves into anti establishment populists.

The youtuber should focus her energy into moving republican economics more left. After all, populists are likely to listen to and adopt popular policies.

If the parties solidified into social economics, social conservative, anti war (R); and corporate elitist, LGBT, pro war (D), Americans would have less conflicted choices at elections.

Fair point, thank you.

Just discovered this channel. A great video.
He corrected nauseous to nauseating, so for that alone, he gets a thumbs up.

That said, there’s plenty more worth considering in the video.

All I can say is I hope shutting down the economy to save grandmas was worth the economic downturn that has resulted and the global rise in right wing populism . 😬

No, I haven’t. What the fuck? Imagine being this blasé about sexual assault and rape.

I’m tellin’ ya’, it’s no fun being held down.
