Trump will win again

Also *incredibly* good news for the cartel to be declared a terrorist group to enable the United States to take military action against them. The cartel terrorizes both Mexicans and Americans in kind. I would love to see that entire criminal empire crumble. Mexico would be better off for it and apparently the corruption is so severe that there is hardly a Mexican military or police department that exists which is not directly being funded by the cartel in some way. Such a shame.

I most certainly realize this will be rationalized to death but hey! First I'd like to congratulate the moderators for doing such a good job of destroying the list. Secondly, orange man bad has had all the lawsuits dropped or laying on their final gasps of air. Thirdly, Biden was so honest he had to Pardon of course his son as well as his entire family...teehee... Fauci was so competent he had to be pardoned and Putin wants him extradited to Russia. Fourthly, the "J6 Committee" also had to be pardoned for their efforts. Gates can't set foot in several countries because they want him in prison for "vaccinating" (i.e. killing) their children. I hope you ALL enjoyed the last 4 years of World Peace, lower cost of living, and stable economy. In all honesty, I am now very happy the Dems stole the 2020 election because orange man bad is now on FIRE! The 4 years off gave him time....Now he knows how to finally drain the swamp! May peace be with you!

Using the us military on us soil is extraordinarily problematic (at the very least given how litigious a nation we have been up till 1/20/25 ). Using it on Mexican soil is an act of war. but hey...what could possibly go wrong? Also, (for those keeping score at home) P T did not sign any bills on day one, he may sign one today though.....and there is no requirement that anyone puts their hand on a bible when taking a federal oath, I am heartened by this outreach to the non christian us public.

Alright, he signed executive orders. I think you understand what I meant, unless you didn't watch the same coverage I did. He was in the white house signing documents and each they read what they were intended to do.

I point out the difference between an EO and a Bill because so much of what gets transmitted in the public discourse about PT and his actions consistently deviates from objective, verifiable, shared reality.

I thought the transparency in him signing bills on day one and talking to the press was refreshing, especially after having a President who was essentially hidden away because of a declining cognitive function. I know Biden had behind the scenes people running the day to day but I think it reflected poorly on the country to have a President who can't speak in complete sentences for so long. I'm sure he was not removed for political reasons beyond my level of understanding but I really hope it doesn't happen again in my lifetime, that if a president begins to have dementia or some type of serious cognitive issue they would either step down willingly or be removed.

I really liked some of the AI bills proposed, especially the efforts to make our medical systems more connected state to state. I used to work for a background check company that would be hired by hospitals to look into the background of doctors they were going to hire. People who don't live in our country would be surprised that medical records you have and even basic licensing information such as if you have been revoked from being able to practice medicine in another state is completely unavailable. Last time Trump was president he pushed a lot of medical transparency in terms of Medicare improvements; requiring hospitals to list the price of their operations so that Medicare patients could chose which was the best price. Biden administration kept all of those changes.

There is plenty of good that will come out of this and while I'm sure it's very appealing to focus on only the bad, I think we're also allowed to speak on the positives. They may not negate the aspects you dislike about the administration but don't be foolish to think there is NO good to be done by the administration. Or, I suppose you can and just be two dimensional in your pov. Your choice.

Totally, I feel Trump already gave more interviews and speeches in first 2-3 days than Biden in the last 2 years. It's really refreshing.

So far I really liked the EOs. However, on the economic side it's gonna be really difficult. They cannot really cut deficits without causing a massive recession. I think they are gonna try to keep inflation low by making oil cheaper and try to ignite economic growth by deregulation and tax cuts, but I don't see any major shift from capital to labor. On the margin there might be some improvement for labor due to lower immigration and incentives to produce more in the US but overall the trend of the last 15 years will probably continue (long technology, short small/mainstreet businesses).

Fair enough. It just caught me a little off guard because I don't think there was anything truly misleading in my post aside from imprecise language. I have difficulty remembering the word for things and usually try to use generalities but I can see that precise language is very important to you.

The White House has paused all federal grants.

Cheers,

The little news I consume has made a very strong impression on me: Trump seems determined to substantially start delivering on all his campaign promises quickly.

I'm used to hearing promises like cancellation of student debt, or the building of nuclear power plants, which never seem to materialise. But it's only two weeks in, and it feels like Trump has for the most part unquestionably on almost all his promises.

Impressive.

You know this is a political tactic, right? It's a classic psychology move. Overwhelming the population decreases their attention span and their engagement. He deliberately causes "drama" for the same reasons. It's distracting. This enables him to make changes that not even the majority of his voters want because people can't keep track of everything.

It's like those classic videos:

Laughable take. You're also not a Trump voter so how do you know what Trump voters wanted and what's their evaluation of first 2 weeks of new administration? Do you interact with any Trump voters in good faith?

I am also not on top of all of the news, but he quite clearly delivered a lot. Here's just a few:

- Bullied Colombia, Mexico and Canada with tariff threats to achieve his goals
- Tightened the border and arrests of illegal migrants
- Cuts on government spending, made steps to increase transparency on government spending
- Revoking of woke and ESG initiatives.

Literally exactly what Trump voters wanted, and it's just a start.

What is the hidden agenda that Trump has?

This right here shows me you are either ignorant, or posting in bad faith.

There is no federal law regarding migration to the United States, so there are no illegal migrants.

You now have a choice. Either to learn the law, or stop misrepresenting the issue.

With All Due,

I’m not sure what you mean by, “objective, verifiable, shared reality,” because it seems to be increasingly impossible to identify what shared reality is for quite some time.

To me, it is the role of leadership to define the reality so that everyone can work towards a common goal. Over the past decades it appears as if there has been only war, deception, and misappropriation.

On the margin there might be some improvement for labor due to lower immigration and incentives to produce more in the US but overall the trend of the last 15 years will probably continue (long technology, short small/mainstreet businesses).
Technology is certainly driving innovation, and A.I. appears to be accelerating this trend. Yet, what good is innovation if it doesn’t get utilized through labor. Labor is critical to success but I certainly understand the skepticism. Incentives may help but the country seems like they’ve fallen into a state of defeat and that’s a difficult hole from which to climb. Different people respond to different motivations and that make it difficult for leadership to inspire.

The White House has paused all federal grants.
Sad but necessary. Hopefully the wheat will be separated from the chaff in expeditious fashion.

Overwhelming the population decreases their attention span and their engagement.
I don’t doubt this is a psychological tactic in some scenarios but I can’t recall it being used by presidents as a strategy. It seems like the trend has been to distract using some kind of shock to the public [and broadcast wide in the media] while then doing something quiet in the shadows [with no media coverage]. Maybe you could provide an example or two [from US history] for context.

Ok, so I had to check on this because I honestly didn’t know the specifics. For me, I would never attempt to enter another country without going through a port and their customs because i feel as though I would be placing myself in danger and possibly violating a policy of the foreign country - I believe this is common sense and a wise course of action. To me, it’s like entering someone else’s home without going through the front door and speaking to the owner before doing it. Some people don’t care what a person wants when it comes to entering their home and just do whatever they like and that’s where problems usually arise.

I believe the President is attempting to stop illegal activity. Things like the entry of harmful drugs, guns, human trafficking, foreign invasion (China) and the importation of other property and activities that could / may be harming the country. These are things that have been specifically mentioned by several states.

There are also laws related to an invasion.

Finally, the president has a responsibility to protect and defend the country and a failure to do that is a serious problem. The US has lacked this ability and commitment during the last presidency and I believe it is a big reason for such a big shift in voting during the last election.

I don’t know specifically how every state is impacted by immigration or illegal migration (see below) but I can say that the states on the border are heavily impacted and even the state I live in (Oklahoma) has seen serious problems related to the volume and criminal activity by foreign nationals.

So I did a couple quick checks and here’s what I found:

I do not claim superior or advanced knowledge of migration and immigration laws or rules, this information was provided by A.I. after prompting with specific questions related to what I believe is being discussed.

"Open borders? That's a Koch brothers proposal which essentially says there is no United States. It would make everyone in America poorer. Right-wing people would love an open border to bring in all kinds of people to work for $2 to $3 an hour."- Bernie Sanders 2015

RECEIPTS. That's exactly what the Democrats did. Brought in "all kinds of people" to compete with American workers do bring wages down as part of their "inflation reduction" plan.
